Most green tea in the market carries the category name, not the origin. It is blended across regions, standardised for a predictable taste, and processed to meet a price point. Riverbeki's Darjeeling Green Tea does none of that. It is grown at high elevation in the Darjeeling hills, certified organic, single-origin, and processed carefully to preserve the natural character of the leaf — the clean, grassy freshness, the light body, and the quiet complexity that only high-altitude terroir produces.

Green tea from Darjeeling has a distinct personality. The altitude produces a lighter, more delicate leaf than lowland greens. The cool growing conditions mean less bitterness and more subtlety. And the single-origin processing — minimal, careful, honest — means what reaches you is as close to the living leaf as green tea gets, without being white.

How to Brew

Use water at 70–80°C — not boiling, which will make any green tea bitter. Steep for 2 minutes. Use 2 grams per 200 ml. The second steep is often cleaner and more revealing than the first. Drink without milk to experience the full character of the origin.
