Riverbeki Dawn 100g - Darjeeling First Flush Spring Tea | High-Elevation, Flowery Orange Pekoe

There is a reason tea people mark their calendars for first flush Darjeeling. It arrives once a year — brief, unrepeatable, and unlike anything the same garden will produce in any other season. The Dawn is Riverbeki's expression of this: a Flowery Orange Pekoe grade first flush, sourced from high-elevation Darjeeling gardens and harvested during the narrow spring window of late February through April.

The cup is pale gold and light-bodied. The aroma is floral and fresh — a quality that comes specifically from the young spring leaf and cannot be manufactured outside of it. The character is bright, clean, and gently complex, with none of the heaviness of second flush and none of the bitterness that lower-quality greens often carry. Brew without milk, drink slowly, and notice how much a single-origin tea from the right place at the right time can say without needing to be anything more than itself.

• Colour: Pale amber to gold, clear and bright
• Aroma: Floral, spring-like, with a fresh grassy note
• Taste: Light-bodied, clean, with a gentle astringency and a lingering floral finish
• Caffeine: Moderate — lighter than second flush, bright rather than heavy

• FOP Grade — Flowery Orange Pekoe — Full whole leaves with visible tip, selected for their open character and spring freshness.
• First Flush, Spring Harvested — The earliest picking of the year. A seasonal tea available for a limited window. Once the harvest is done, it is done.
• High-Elevation Darjeeling, Single Origin — The altitude slows growth and concentrates flavour. No blending, no origin mixing.
• No Additives — Pure first flush Darjeeling. Withered, rolled gently, dried. Nothing else.
• Antioxidant-Rich — First flush retains high levels of catechins due to the young, unoxidised leaf. Supports metabolism, focus, and a natural sense of clarity.

Available in 100g. Brew at 85°C for 2–3 minutes. Best without milk. The second steep is often the more revealing one.
