The Highlander Reserve is Riverbeki's top-tier Darjeeling. A second flush whole leaf from the high-elevation gardens of the Darjeeling hills — bold where it needs to be, floral where you least expect it, and carrying the kind of depth that only comes from altitude, season, and a leaf that has been left entirely intact.

This is the cup for when you have a moment. Not just because it is good, but because it rewards attention. Brew it properly, don't rush it, and notice how the character shifts from the first sip to the last. The Highlander earns its name not through claim but through what it actually does in the cup.

In the Cup

• Colour: Rich amber, deep and clear
• Aroma: Bold, complex — muscatel notes, a strong floral character, and a faint earthiness from the high elevation
• Taste: Full-bodied, layered — the boldness of second flush Darjeeling with a floral lift and a long, warm finish
• Caffeine: Moderate to high

• Reserve Grade Selection — Chosen from the season's strongest second flush harvest. The leaves that showed the most character, kept separate.
• High-Elevation Darjeeling — Altitude produces slower growth, stronger leaf structure, more concentrated flavour. The high-elevation distinction matters in the cup.
• Whole Leaf, Bold & Floral — Full leaves, unbroken. The floral quality that Darjeeling is known for comes through more clearly in whole leaf than in any broken grade.
• Single Origin — One garden, one season, no blending. The character is entirely the leaf's own.
• No Additives — Pure Darjeeling, nothing added. The complexity here is natural.

Rich in natural polyphenols and antioxidants — Darjeeling black tea at this elevation retains a high concentration of catechins, supporting heart health, clarity, and sustained energy.

How to Brew: 90–95°C, 3–4 minutes, 2.5g per 200ml. Best without milk. Can be re-steeped once. The second steep tends to be softer and more floral.
